Our aspirations to grow towards our full expression of being often move us through difficult moments in relationship to others. We must remember again and again to take full responsibility for our part of what is happening between us. We may want to be loving and kind with others, but often feel so hurt or wounded that we can't come out of our self protective mode enough to express the true caring we feel underneath it all.

Every interaction throughout our day is an opportunity to give and share love and kindness with others, but can we come out of our self protective mode enough to connect with the person with whom we are interacting? And what if they are also caught up in protecting themselves? What then? Can we still open enough to share our true caring? This is the true challenge of the spiritual warrior. To be able to do this is true strength and true bravery, and this is what we, who are on this spiritual path are learning. Learning to stay open and connected to our source, regardless of what is happening around us, is what we need to perfect in our lives. Honing this ability will lead us forward on our paths to wherever we want to go.
