o everyone knows gratitude right? It’s a powerful feeling that moves us in the direction of healing and wholeness. It’s about being grateful for the opportunity to be here on Earth in this dimension and alive! Being in this dimension is a real opportunity to grow and change that does not exist in the same way in the spiritual dimensions of light. Here in this dimension we have the opportunity from one moment to the next to choose light or darkness. Every moment! Once we understand how this works we come to realize we really are creators at one with God. Every thought we think creates something new and different. Will we create love, connection, joy, and healing or will we choose resentment, separation, darkness and fear. That is our free will choice and that is our lesson to learn. What feels better? As we hold appreciation and gratitude for our experiences and opportunities constantly available to us we increase the amount of joy and lightness we feel and attract to ourselves. The more we appreciate and hold gratitude the more opportunities and experiences that give us joy and lightness come towards us. Gratitude helps increase our vibration. It helps increase our light. It helps increase our joy. It steers our ship unerringly towards the light. Find something you are grateful for and it will move you in the right direction-towards the light, and I am grateful for that!
So what is lightness all about? It’s a wee! It’s about staying connect to your joyful spirit. It is the feeling of the little child, the exuberance for living and the freedom of not being bogged down in shoulds and have to’s. As we connect to lightness we can let go. We can float above the heaviness we have attached to living. We can move beyond caring about fear of failing, fear of being judged, fear of this, that and anything. Life is good! Life is juicy! Keep it light. Don’t take yourself too seriously. That is lightness. It is worth remembering througout the day when things get heavy, time to lighten up! Wee!
Today I’d like to talk about the principal of commitment. When we say commitment we are referring to a commitment to stay connected to our heart and Soul purpose and not get lost in the many fears that are generated about living in this world, whether from past experiences from this life or from previous lives. There are so many things that we worry about or try to defend ourselves against, but if we can hold a strong commitment to our Soul’s purpose, we can learn to move through these worries with grace and ease. When we commit ourselves to returning again and again to our heart space and acting from there rather than reacting from our fears or the fears of others, we develop the ability to stay clear and unaffected by the emotional upheavals that move in and around and through us. Commitment is the will and focus for staying on the path to our own unfoldment and enlightenment. To stay committed means maintaining the will and focus to seek the highest for yourself and others. So let’s commit ourselves everyday to stay in our hearts no matter how strongly the winds of fear and doubt blow around us.
What is attunement? When we get quiet inside, when we calm down, and let ourself settle into the simple beingness of our body, without judging, simply listening, feeling, and allowing whatever is happening to simply happen, we come into attunement. It is a natural state, a state of feeling connected to what is happening inside us and to who we really are. As we do this, and inhabit the space of our body as best as we can, we allow the energy and information from within to move and motivate us. In this experience we might ask, ” What are we feeling? What are we sensing? What are we hearing?” When we get in touch with these inner promptings can we simply allow them to exist without pushing or trying to make anything else happen? Can we simply stay focused and stay aware of what is happening in the moment within us and then let that move us? It is so important to let go of all judgments and just allow the energy to move us. When we do this, we feel more natural and alive. When we trust these feelings, our life can be guided in alignment to our spirit and we will feel more in harmony as we move through our day. So attunement means to get quiet and listen to that part of ourself that is most peaceful and connected to our source in order to live our life with more grace and harmony. This is why we attune and how it helps.
As you attune inside begin to explore different areas of your body. As you move your awareness around inside you notice, where can it go? Where can your awareness move freely and where do you feel resistance to it? There are some areas you may find that you don’t want to let your awareness move into. That’s ok. Be gentle. Say yes to letting go and allow your awareness to move into that space if you can. If not let it be. Don’t push it. The energy will follow your awareness and then the body will eventually relax into it. You will feel freer, more calm and it all comes from staying focused in your awareness. In this way as you attune you reclaim more of who you really are and how you really feel. This is the doorway to expansion and allowing yourself to be more of yourself. Look and feel inside and pay attention with lovingkindness no matter what you find. This is how you begin to expand and re-inhabit and reclaim your full self.
Sometimes we get put in our place. When we think we are in charge or in control of what is happening, spirit often let’s us know that we must pause and listen to the guidance and harmony we are being given. In that moment it might not feel good, but we must remember that we are not doing this on our own. Even though in reality we are never alone, we still think we have to make it all happen on our own. When we effort in this way, we stop listening and try to push and make things happen. But the truth is that to stay in harmony with the universe’s unfolding we must let go and cooperate with the process we are being guided to participate in. Really it is so much easier to do it this way. All we have to do is stop fighting to make something happen and start allowing what is trying to come through us. When we stop pushing in this way, it is so much more peaceful, and it is actually so much more powerful. If we can only surrender and allow what wants to happen through us, we will feel so much better about ourselves and what we are doing. Many of us are not used to this. Sometimes it feels frustrating to have to let go, but when we actually do it, it feels really good, and stuff happens! Instead of fighting and struggling to manifest what you want, try surrendering and allow everything to unfold in a more relaxed and peaceful way. You’ll be glad you did! And so will everyone around you.
