How do you feel right now? Are you tight, tense, spaced out, foggy, or relaxed, soft, and energized ? Know how you feel. It is your guidance system for navigating in the world. We often don’t like the way we feel so we eat something, or drink something or watch something. The truth is, how we feel is essential to our mental and physical health and the success of whatever we do. To be truly and happily engaged in our lives we must be willing to feel what is happening in our own bodies and if necessary work to positively release, reorganize, or surrender to what is happening within us. Staying with that good feeling is an art that we must practice daily. How do we stay connected to that yummy place where we feel inspired and alive? How do we walk down that good path and not slip into all the gooey, yucky feelings that are swirling around us? Coming back to our heart and simply allowing ourselves to be buoyed up by the energy of life, is an essential step, but how do we do that? Do we take a walk in the woods? Do we do yoga or exercise? Do we meditate or watch something inspirational? Do we eat some healthy food, get a good night’s sleep, or play with the dog? Or maybe we just take a moment, step out of what we are doing, tune in, and let the energy pick us back up. It really can be that simple. Of course all these are good ways of reconnecting, but actually taking the time to do it is the real practice. ” How does my body feel and what do I need right now to reconnect or maintain my connection to the life force?
