Description
Reasons for 1:1 Personal Instruction
Injury: An injury might cause you to feel that you can’t participate in a group class. Although Haleya is not a yoga therapist and cannot work directly with your injury, she can help you develop a sequence where you can practice yoga without using the injured area.
New to yoga: Haleya is available for those who wish to learn basic yoga in order to feel comfortable and confident to join a group class. Consider this as your personal Yoga 101 class.
PTSD or complex trauma: Haleya has trained in trauma informed yoga. If you would like to work with yoga regarding PTSD or complex trauma as an adjunct to your own ongoing therapy you may find you are able to gain tools to help soothe and heal your nervous system. Haleya is also a trained counselor, and while this is not counseling or psychotherapy, she understands the complexity of PTSD and C-PTSD.
Other reasons: Perhaps you are nervous in groups, or you want to find out if you even like yoga. Perhaps you are not sure if you can really do it, or whether you are flexible enough, or perhaps have body image issues. Haleya offers a safe space to find out what is possible for you.
Options for 1:1 Private Instruction:
- One time 1:1 class option: During this 1.5 hour class Haleya can help customize a short and simple sequence to meet your needs. Whatever sequence you learn in this class may be a sequence you are happy with for years to come. After class you will receive a printed diagram of the sequence and a CD with Haleya’s yoga nidra guided meditation. Although the class is designed as a stand alone session, you may still choose to come back for a follow-up(s) should it serve you.
- Ongoing 1:1 classes: The first class and whatever follow up classes you choose are one hour long and customized for your specific needs. Contact Haleya to discuss.
