Since in every moment reality is being born anew, there is a continual opportunity to make a fresh start with what is. For me this means being willing to be open to feel and perceive what is really happening in the moment. I don’t know about you, but for me, being willing to see the good and the bad without judgment, fear or expectations takes a focused effort, yet this is exactly what is required to be fully present. It means dropping my resistance and all thinking and conceptualizing about things. It means dropping my awareness down into the field of the body, breathing and allowing myself to be fully present to my experience and letting whatever emerges out of that guide me. I have wonderful counseling sessions with people where I sit with a completely open mind and simply wait for inspiration to emerge without any preconceived ideas of what I will say or do. Beginners mind is a real thing. It is the space out of which joy, truth, humility, and a myriad of countless attributes and insights can come. This is also extremely helpful in relationships. Being able to breathe, settle, and allow whatever wants to emerge from the Source within opens us to a path of relational harmony, if we are brave enough to allow it to happen. So when we stop resisting what wants to emerge from our core, we can really open to our higher potential. Join me in taking a moment to do that now.
