Letting Go to Who We Really Are

When we want to move into a freer energy, we must make the choice to let go of what we are thinking or what we are trying to hold on to. When we step back and let go of whatever we are attached to, we free our energy and it begins to flow again. We breath more easily and feel good again. When we step out of stressful states, we can feel that life is worth living again. In order to make this shift it is important to remember that we may possess things but we are not our things. We need to remember that we have bodies but we are not these bodies. We have emotions but we are not these emotions. We have thoughts, but we are not these thoughts, or we have egos but we are not our egos. We must remind ourselves that we are pure consciousness experiencing life with the power to create, and then let go to that reality. When we become attached to any of these lesser and illusory parts of ourselves, we get into trouble. When we forget who we really are, this loss of perspective creates the suffering we experience. Our energy gets caught up and blocked by these lesser realities and does not flow freely. To free ourselves we must step back into who we really are, pure consciousness. Staying in this energy and perspective is a great challenge as we move through the illusions and snares of the world. Even when we become mad, sad or scared, these emotions do not define us. We are always more. Then, when we let go, we will naturally pop back into the experience  of our true being, which is alive, open, receptive, and free. This is who we really are, and always will be.
